“HORRIBLE. My husband worked for this company, and Mr. James withheld his pay, cut his salary, withheld his commission, took away his company car, and cursed daily at his team, employees, and staff. His unethical and unprofessional approach is shocking, and it was heartbreaking to watch my hardworking, honest, fair husband treated like a vagrant. Mr. James always said he could not understand why he has such high turnover. Well, you can guess why. He is all about lining his pockets, and he treats his staff terribly. We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau next week, and we are also thinking about suing him and/or his company. We know it will not be worth the trouble, but at some point, you cannot allow a bully and tyrant to continue their horrible ways and get away with it. It is illegal not to pay your employees, yet he did not. He also did not tell my husband that he was changing his commission structure or taking away his base salary. My husband only found out when he received his payroll check, and it was less than half of the normal amount. Who operates this way? Do yourself a favor, and please stay FAR, FAR away from this company and its unprofessional and unethical owner.”

“i have been a long time customer with james pest control for termite service. the first few years after my contract was started, i didn't hear anything from them other than getting my annual bill. it seemed odd to me they didn't come to inspect for several years. after year 3, i made a call and asked that they come inspect yearly, which they started doing. they also say, when they come, that they do a "courtesy spray", making you feel like they are doing you a favor and giving you something special. they were never specific, but i'm thinking at some point they would need to respray as it seems odd one single spray when the contract is started would last a lifetime. last year, they didn't do the "courtesy spray" as it was raining. the tech stated someone would come in the next few weeks to spray, which they never did. it's time to pay my annual fee again, and i started calling about a month ago to discuss why i didn't get my "courtesy spray" last year when i was told it would be done. i was told someone would call me back to discuss, they never did. i made a second call a few days later and was told someone would call me back, they never did. the next week, i sent an email to the contact on their website- 2 weeks after it was sent, no reply. after 1 month of trying to get in touch with someone, all attempts have failed. bottom line: this company is hard to get in touch with someone if you ever have an issue, so be forewarned. i pray we never get termites (or don't currently have them- who really knows until it's too late?). one would think a small family owned company would have better customer service...”
