“Came out for a free termite inspection. After digging through the woods they found termites in some rotting tree stumps. Then recommended a $3800 treatment plan. After simply saying we would think it over we received this email later in the day;? Hello. This is Bryan your termite inspector from today. We had emailed you a proposal for all the needed treatments for your homes protection. After reviewing my notes from todays inspection, I want to cancel the proposal. Unfortunately, my experience is telling me, based on our interaction , that you do not completely understand what is going on with these pests and lack of questions pertaining to them and the treatment were not at the level I prefer when protecting a home. Please disregard our proposal. We appreciate the opportunity and for treating your carpenter bee issue. We will not offer any other services once your warranty expires. We just operate our company on very strict terms due to the amount of damage these pests can cause and without a devoted treatment plan to stop and prevent, we can not offer our services. We take this extremely serious and want our customers to do the same. Thank you for your time and consideration. Your carpenter bee protection will be honored in full. Response to the email and the review reply; Hilarious! We were told because they found termites in the woods, (we live in the woods, they are not in the house) we wouldn't be able to sell or refinance without the treatment plan. The bank does not do a termite inspection of the woods or house prior to financing. A homebuyer may request a termite inspection as a part of the home inspection, but the bank is not privy to that information. As a matter of fact I bought the house in question, and worked through many settlements without ANY inspections. And guess what, I got financing. An appraisal is all that is required from a bank. Not a pest control inspection. There is no national law that says this. In MD if a finance company was to require an inspection the inspection is limited to the structure (md code 15.05.01.14)NOT 50' into the woods. Conventional loans do NOT require a termite inspection. And in your own words there was nothing in the house. And correction, you showed me one 50' est away in the woods. The NPMA-33 form is an old form, the new MD-1 is only an attachment form used to report wood destroying insects in a disclosure form. Or for VA loans. It is NOT a requirement to finance or refinance through a conventional loan. And it is only used as a disclosure form from the seller if there was a history of wood destroying insects inside the home. You threatened me at 10pm at night after leaving a bad review with lawyers and who knows what else. COMPLETELY inappropriate! And not smart to leave a paper trail threatening people. Don't be fooled by these scare, selling tactics. All that was said during the inspection is we'll think about it and let you know. So Unbelievable Edit just got this text from them;? My email to you was professional and I did not deserve to be called what you called me. You have 5-mins to remove that review. Now they are harassing me for the review unbelievable! Its :10:11pm and i got another text;? Wow. Again I was professional the entire time and with my email. You falsely accused me of using scare tactics and lying. That’s slander. Which we will send to our attorney and I will be explaining the entire inspection and how you were on the radio show. I will call you to go on live to explain your review. Don't contact them unless you want to be harassed by text message at 10:11pm. I now feel unsafe and thinking about calling the police due to the threats. All for saying we will think about it. And posting a review literally saying what they said to us in an email. It is NOT appropriate to threaten people at 10pm at night because they leave a true bad review.
